With their big label debut album, Under the Table and Dreaming, in 1994, Dave Matthews Band received their first number one and Grammy Award nomination. This pattern continued for the rest of their releases until their ninth studio album, "Come Tomorrow," in 2018. When DMB became the first band in music history to have seven straight studio albums chart at the top.
The 2023 tour will promote a brand-new Dave Matthews Band album, "Walk Around the Moon," which will be released on May 19 and features the new single "Madman's Eyes," released on January 24th. It will be the group's tenth studio album and the follow-up to 2018's "Come Tomorrow." According to a press release, Walk Around the Moon is “as much a reflection on the current times as it is an urge to find common ground,” and was executive produced by longtime DMB partner John Alaga.
Dave Matthews, lead singer and guitarist, is joined by bassist Stefan Lessard, drummer and backing vocalist Carter Beauford, lead guitarist Tim Reynolds, trumpet player Rashawn Ross, saxophone Jeff Coffin, and pianist Buddy Strong.
Dave Matthews also has a long-standing relationship with The Nature Conservancy. Since 2020, the collaboration has resulted in the planting of three million trees.
