What to expect at The Gorge Amphitheatre

Every visit to the Gorge Amphitheatre is breathtaking. It’s pretty isolated — located in the rural town of George above the Columbia River in Washington, just 10 miles northeast of Quincy — but that’s part of its unique charm. With the stunning wild backdrop, the Gorge’s stage hosts some of the world’s biggest performers and music festivals.

Most people drive to the Gorge Amphitheatre. That’s simply because no major cities are within 50 miles (or more). And, as there are not many accommodation options, many people camp at the venue’s campgrounds.

You also have a wide choice of seating. You can opt for reserved seating closest to the stage, first-come, first-served lawn seating, or anything in between. This means it’s an excellent venue for all party types. Top-notch sound and lighting mean you’ll enjoy the show wherever you are.

As a completely outdoor venue, shows at the Gorge Amphitheatre go ahead come rain or shine. So, we’d always recommend packing for all elements. In particular, please remember water and sun protection in hot weather.
