The festival had its inaugural show in 2010. The first ever Beyond Wonderland was held in San Bernardino, California and brought in the biggest names in bass house, trance, dubstep, drum and bass, and ambient. The inaugural show, which featured names like Paul Van Dyk, Sander Vandoom, and more sold out. Its success led to another show the following year in San Bernardino and another Beyond Wonderland in Seattle, Washington. In 2012, Beyond Wonderland was held in San Bernardino and Oakland. In 2021, Beyond Wonderland came to the Gorge Amphitheatre for the first time.
