“Young and Crazy Horse killed the performance, and it’s clear that both the legend and the band have quite a bit of pent-up creativity” (American Songwriter).
Neil Young’s hotly awaited Love Earth Tour kicked things off with Crazy Horse in San Diego, California this April at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre. As always, the folk rock powerhouse put on an amazing show, still continuing to impress audiences in his six-decade career. “Young and Crazy Horse killed the performance, and it’s clear that both the legend and the band have quite a bit of pent-up creativity,” said American Songwriter. While fans shouldn’t expect Young’s setlist to be exactly the same for all of the Love Earth Tour’s upcoming dates, their previous show - full of greatest hits like “Cortez The Killer” “Don’t Be Denied, ” and “Heart Of Gold,” as well as solo acoustic performances like “Comes A Time,” “Heart Of Gold,” and Human Highway” - in Cali provide a pretty solid look of what concert goers can expect from the rest of the Love Earth Tour trek. Not only that but Neil Young and Crazy Horse will be treating the crowd to fresh content. On April 20, the dream team dropped a new collaborative album, called FU##IN’ UP, and it's some of their coolest tunes to date!
This tour is the official debut of the new version of Crazy Horse with Micah Nelson (Willie Nelson’s youngest son) lending his unreal skills on the guitar. The lineup is made up of Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s drummer Ralph Molina, bassist Billy Talbot, and guitarist Micah Nelson. Even though the group have mixed things up, Neil Young and Crazy Horse will revisit classics and honor its rich history. “I’m going to pay tribute and honor Danny and Poncho, and be true to the sound of Crazy Horse,” Nelson Young told Rolling Stone in March. “I want to bring Poncho and Danny’s spirit into the space with us, through me, as much as I can.” Don’t miss out on this awesome show, full of classics and contemporary flair.
